+ Pool is rad. In fact, it's one of the innovative and creative reasons why I love design - you can create just about anything from one simple idea. Last year, three twenty-something New Yorker dudes got together on one hot summer's day, and decided that there should be a public floating pool in the middle of the Hudson River. Duh, right? It would be built right in the river itself, filtering the water while making it accessible and clean for everyone. They're still in the fundraising and research stages, but they have partnered with engineers, and local governmental, and environmental groups who have basically said - yep, this idea is definitely feasible. Love it.
