Today I'm starting a three part re-cap of the event, so please come back tomorrow and Friday for the full post.

The event started off with a sweet welcome package that included some goodies from Smock Paper, and Just Shorn. Oh, and an all-day lift ticket to Solitude, which you know I took advantage of.
Over the next few days, I attended some really inspirational panel discussions (notes on those tomorrow), consumed lots of good food and wine, which was always part of the equation - of course, and overall I made some great friends who, like me, are navigating their way through this world of writing about design, what role we each play, and how we can all work together as a collaborative and creative group.

In no particular order: Nole from OhSoBeautifulPaper, Cyd from The Sweetest Occasion, Erin from Apartment 34, Lisa from With Style & Grace, Rebecca from Love. Live. Small, Carina from Crow and Canary, Jess from Sunset Magazine, Jaime from Design Milk, Meg from Anthology Magazine, Crystal from Rue Magazine, Suann from Simple Song, Kelly from Design Crush, Paige from Paiges of Style, Danni from Oh Hello Friend, Kathleen from Twig & Thistle, Natasha from Minted, Caitlin from EcoFabulous, Jordan from Oh Happy Day, Kirsten from Simply Grove, and Caitlin from Sacramento Street are just some of ladies I met who either spoke or attended Alt. Am I bragging? Yes a little, but they're all very talented at what they do, and hopefully you'll follow them now too.
Let's just say it was a white-out on Saturday (visibility was a negative), and yet Spiro and I thought it was some of the best snowboarding we've done. Ever.
Ok, so while we didn't see any of the movies at the Sundance Film Festival, we did make a trip up to Park City one of the nights with our friends to check out the celebs (saw Louis Lombardi from The Sopranos) and I swear I saw Robert Redford. Eh - maybe not. We had dinner, walked Main Street, and watched The Roots perform at one of Park City's hot spots.
Overall it was an amazing trip, and if you have the chance to make it out next year, you must! Come back tomorrow for a recap of "What I learned at Alt", and on Friday for, "Here's My Card. Call Me".
