Stories + Illustrations of My Childhood

While visiting my family over the weekend, my sister and I found some old books that my mom used to read to us when we were kids. They aren't your average stories though, because they are written in Greek. Growing up with Greek parents meant that my sister and I learned to speak Greek, and in fact it was our first language. Our mother read to us these stories, which we absolutely loved, and I always especially loved the illustrations. Though most of these books appear to have been published during the '70s and '80s, I'm assuming that many of them were later editions with the original artwork from the '50s and '60s.

Let's take a stroll down memory lane...

Staxtopouta | Cinderella:
I always loved her dress as a kid. Though I would never pair orange and green today. Obviously.

Elate Sto Parti Mou | Come To My Party:
As a child I dreamed of being this little susie homemaker - baking treats and being the ultimate hostess.

H Kokkinoskoufitsa | Little Red Riding Hood:
Love these details, especially in the birds.

Tha Matho Tis Epoxes | Learning the Seasons:
All of these little outfits are so cute. Kinda digging the font of the title too.

O Lukos Kai Ta 7 Katsikakia | The Wolf and the 7 Little Goats
I think I was scared of this wolf actually.

The two little boo boos who loved these books - my sister and me :)
What were your favorite books/illustrations growing up?
