Mid-Century Mine

Since the hubby and I will be moving in the near future, redecorating has been on the brain. My tastes and styles in home decor are eclectic to put it simply. I love a variety of styles that range the gamut from old Hollywood glam to Greek village house (seriously - I love certain elements of the old-world style of my Grandmother's home in Greece - Hmm, I see a future post here). Anyway, I digress. One style, which has been inspiring me a great deal is that of mid-century modern design. The clean and simple lines, the bright and vibrant color palette, all make me wish I was a character on Mad Men so that I could experience this in my everyday life.

Recently I stumbled upon a website devoted to this genre of design - and it's appropriately named the Mid-Century Modernist. Their gallery is a hand-picked showcase of the most interesting items on eBay, which is updated daily. They also cover the culture and architecture of the time. Here is my selection of favorites from the current gallery - and they're all currently open for bid. Enjoy!
