This Weekend: Dwell on Design

This weekend Dwell on Design is coming back to Los Angeles for its third annual exhibition. Hosted by Dwell Magazine, this event is sure to please every design junkie out there. I'm going to attend all three days, and going on the Eastside home tour on Sunday. Please check back in a couple of weeks when I'll be guest blogging my full report on one of my MOST favorite blogs!

Here is a quick round up of things not to miss:

For the foodies - Good Food Sunday

Good Food Sunday with KCRW's Evan Kleiman will be a whole day of food-related programming, as seen through the lens of design. Get inside the Craft Beer Movement, learn about modern restaurant design, and witness a molecular gastronomy demonstration.

For the greenies - Reclaimed Spaces

A cozy 400 sf modular home by Reclaimed Space with interiors designed by Ecofabulous will be on display on the exhibition floor. This diminutive domicile will be available for auction via e-Bay, so if you're feeling daring, why not place a bid? Portion of proceeds will go to Global Green. Point, click, and take home a new home and the consummate example of modern, sustainable living.

For the kiddos + families - Modern Family

Paul Frank will outfit a reading corner with pillows and books where kids can hang out and read.  On Sunday at 1pm and 3pm, Julius the Monkey will stop by to read a few stories. Check out Brinca Dada's modernist dollhouses and dolls at the show.  Let your mini-Frank Lloyd Wright get up close and personal with these gorgeous toys that complement your home, rather than compete. Ok, I secretly want one :)

For the open house seekers - Home Tours

These self-drive tours through Los Angeles' East and West Sides will provide the guest with rare insight into some of Los Angeles' most design-forward homes.

There's so much more to cover, and I'll be there for all of it. If you think you might want to come by, you can purchase your tickets online and enter promotional code DWELL8B to receive $15 off Exhibition Plus and Conference Plus ticket (or 50% off the two-day weekend pass). Hope to see you there!
